This session will provide a step-by-step approach to securing grants, using the Dudley Council SME Grants as a blueprint. You will also learn about additional support available through the Investment Readiness Programme. This will help you with raising match funding and exploring alternative forms of finance.

What you’ll learn:

  • SME productivity/DNZ Grants: understanding the purpose and goals of local grant opportunities.
  • Eligibility criteria: who can apply and what costs are eligible for funding.
  • Subsidy control declaration: key details on financial assistance limits and requirements.
  • Application process: walkthrough of the online portal and financial assessments.
  • Investment readiness programme: support with business plans, projections, and alternative funding.

This session will be delivered by Donna Watkins, Business Growth Adviser from Business Growth West Midlands, alongside Sharan Anmol, Economic Growth Officer at Dudley Council, and Sharn Haywood-Higgs, Finance Specialist from the Investment Readiness Programme.
