Supporting your Sandwell employees to keep physically and mentally well is the right thing to do.

It’s good for business too. Everyone will be more productive and engaged. Your business is likely to have a lower turnover of staff and fewer sick days, saving time, money and worry.

The Thrive at Work programme

Developed by the West Midlands Combined Authority, has introduced a new modular approach designed to make workplace wellbeing more accessible for organisations of all sizes.

These targeted modules empower employers to focus on specific areas of employee health, enabling them to address the unique needs of their workforce with flexibility.

Tailored wellbeing solutions

Thrive at Work modules allow organisations to select from a range of standalone resources, each focused on a critical aspect of workplace wellbeing. Whether it’s enhancing mental health awareness, supporting employees through life transitions or promoting sustainability, each module offers evidence-based strategies and practical tools for creating a thriving workplace.

Key modules include:

  • Mental health: strategies to reduce stigma and implement effective support systems.
  • Menopause: guidance on inclusive policies and fostering openness.
  • Disability & long-term ill health: resources to empower employees and ensure reasonable adjustments.
  • Environmental impact: tools to engage employees in sustainable practices.
  • Musculoskeletal health: ergonomic solutions and preventative measures.
  • Line management support: training and resources to equip managers with communication and wellbeing skills.

This modular approach is designed to fit seamlessly into the Thrive at Work Awards framework, ensuring organisations can demonstrate their commitment to prioritising employee wellbeing while working at their own pace.

Why choose thrive at work?

With flexibility at its core, the programme allows organisations to select modules most relevant to their needs, offering expert guidance, tailored support, and the opportunity to join a network of like-minded businesses focused on workplace wellbeing.

Employers are encouraged to explore the modules and join the waitlist to begin their journey toward creating a healthier workplace.
