Date and Time

We’re holding a series of breakfast events funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund  called ‘Net Zero Navigators’. We’re holding them for businesses in Sandwell, to help you take your first steps on your journey to net zero.

This event will be the first in the series and will take place on Tuesday 16 April at the Sandwell Start-Up Hub (8am to 9:45am). At this first event, you’ll get an overview of the concept of ‘net zero’ and why it is vital that your business seeks to achieve it. We will explore explore how being more sustainable can make your business more competitive and consider the first steps your business needs to take to reach net zero.

Thanks to our special guest speakers, you’ll get expert insight into regional support currently available to help you on your journey to net zero. A representative from the Black Country Industrial Cluster will be there to demystify the energy efficiency support currently available through the Decarbonisation Net Zero Programme. And our speaker from Aston University will tell you about sustainability roadmaps to help businesses like yours become carbon neutral.

You’ll also hear about Sandwell Council’s energy efficiency goals, and get a powerful understanding of how SMEs and all businesses across Sandwell can contribute to our collective mission to decrease emissions, save energy costs for businesses, and minimise environmental impacts.

Hear about grant support

We’ll explain the grant support currently available to help SMEs implement energy-efficiency projects. We know that accessing such support can often seem complex and confusing, so our team will be on hand to help you understand your options.

Who should attend?

Businesses that operate within the borough of Sandwell – of all sizes and especially SMEs.
