As 2024 comes to a close, we want to take a moment to wish all of Sandwell’s businesses a Merry Christmas and a successful New Year.

This year has been an exciting one for Sandwell’s business community, with the launch of key projects, helpful resources and inspiring events designed to support growth.

Celebrating 2024 Highlights

  • Sandwell’s Top 50 Fastest Growing Companies Index: This year, we celebrated the borough’s 50 fastest-growing businesses, showcasing their remarkable contributions to Sandwell’s economy and employment landscape.
  • Sandwell Start-Up Hub: Launched last year in Oldbury, the Hub continues to provide a vibrant workspace for entrepreneurs and small businesses. With 60 desks, meeting rooms, kitchen facilities, free Wi-Fi, and convenient parking, it’s the perfect place to grow your business.
  • Trading in New Markets Project: Supporting Sandwell businesses looking to trade internationally, this project offers tailored, one-to-one support, practical workshops, and expert advice to help you access new markets and grow your global trade footprint.

Throughout 2024, we’ve also shared inspiring case studies showcasing the fantastic work of Sandwell businesses. From net zero and sustainability projects to delivering social value, these stories highlight the innovation and resilience of our local businesses. We’ve also seen incredible contributions from our Social Value Officers, helping ensure local companies make a positive impact on our communities.
