Sandwell Enterprise Programme
Starting a business? The Sandwell Enterprise Programme is here to help you launch or accelerate your start-up.
In partnership with business consultancy Aspire4U, this initiative provides tailored support to entrepreneurs. Through one-on-one advice and group workshops, you’ll develop a healthy business mindset, gain confidence and grow your local network.
This fully funded programme is open to new businesses in Sandwell (trading for less than two years).

‘Start Up in Sandwell’ grants
If you’re registered on the Sandwell Enterprise Programme, you may also qualify for grants of up to £3,000. These grants can fund essential start-up costs such as equipment, promotional materials, website development, and even property refurbishment.

‘Trading in New Markets’ project
The Trading in New Markets project is running until March 2025 and can help you enter and expand in global markets. Delivered in partnership with trade experts Falsum, this programme offers:
- One-on-one support to assess export readiness and improve compliance.
- Practical workshops covering customs procedures, import/export operations and global trade strategy.

Sandwell Start-Up Hub
Located in Jack Judge House in Oldbury, the Sandwell Start-Up Hub is a collaborative workspace designed for local entrepreneurs.
If your business is less than two years old, you can use the space for free until March 2025. The Hub features:
- Hot-desking with free WiFi.
- Collaborative and quiet working zones.
- Event spaces for networking and workshops.
Whether you’re an aspiring entrepreneur or a business looking for resources, the Start-Up Hub is here to support you.
BCCC Wraparound Service
This year, Sandwell Council has partnered with the Black Country Chamber of Commerce (BCCC) to offer an exclusive wraparound service for businesses.
Memberships secured through this partnership provide access to expert advice on HR, tax, health and safety, energy costs and international trade. Other benefits include discounts on AA breakdown cover and airport parking.
The BCCC initiative aims to support 15 start-ups and 50 SMEs, offering tailored guidance to help businesses thrive in 2025.
Meet the Buyer and networking events
This year, we’ll be hosting Meet the Buyer events to connect local businesses with procurement opportunities. Networking events will also be held regularly to help you build valuable partnerships and share ideas.
