You can come and work from the Sandwell Start-Up Hub – a welcoming working space in Oldbury.
If your business is in Sandwell and new (trading for less than two years), you could qualify to use the space for free until March 2025.
The Business Growth Team at Sandwell Council wants your business to thrive and grow. It’s one of our priorities as your local authority. So whether you are looking to collaborate, or you’re a new entrepreneur seeking resources, we want the Sandwell Start-Up Hub to be your gateway to success.
The Sandwell Start-Up Hub features:
- Open-plan office space
- A hot-desking environment with 60 desks
- Collaborative spaces
- Kitchen facilities
- Free wifi
- Meeting rooms
- Nearby parking (free for three hours at Sainsbury’s).
If your business is eligible, you may be able to access additional expert guidance and resources via our Sandwell Enterprise Programme.
The Sandwell Start-Up Hub is in Jack Judge House in Oldbury (B69 2AJ). This is the former Oldbury library building, opposite Sandwell Council House (where the library is now housed).
It is open for you from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
The Sandwell Start-Up Hub has three areas:
Collaboration Zone: Where entrepreneurs can engage in meaningful networking and spark collaborations.
Quiet Zone: For focused work, allowing you to immerse yourself in your tasks without distraction – for maximum productivity.
Event Zone: Where we will host business support organisations to deliver informative sessions on a variety of topics.

You can park at nearby Sainsbury’s on Freeth Street. Parking is free for three hours and you can pay to extend that time through Horizon Parking.
The entrance to the Sandwell Start-Up Hub is to the rear of Jack Judge House. Follow the signs, press the buzzer and we will let you in. The building has a lift and accessible toilet.
